What is a bearing seat? What types are there?

The bearing seat is also usually called a seat bearing. It is made of 45# steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy and other materials. After surface treatment such as ferroferric oxide protective film, electroless nickel plating, and natural anodizing, it is assembled with the bearing to form a bearing seat assembly (some need to be equipped with a retaining ring).

Classification of bearing seats

FA factory automation parts bearing seats are widely used in the support and rotation of shafts. Because they use deep groove ball bearings, they can withstand large radial loads.

Bearing seats are divided into flange type, embedded type, T type, and block type according to their shape; they are divided into single bearing type and double bearing type according to the number of installed bearings. Double bearings can withstand higher loads than single bearings; they are divided into ordinary steel bearing seats, stainless steel bearing seats, and aluminum alloy bearing seats according to their materials.

Among them, aluminum alloy has a lower hardness and bears a lower load; they are divided into casting type and machining type according to the processing method, and the casting type has relatively low precision.

Bearing seats are also divided into with retaining rings and without retaining rings. With retaining rings, it is easy to assemble; without retaining rings, it is suitable for occasions where pre-pressure is applied to the bearing.
