Experts should know the basic principles of ball screw precision classification

The basic principle of ball screw precision classification is the deviation between the actual moving distance and the ideal moving distance in the transmission. The smaller the deviation, the higher the precision. There are three cases:

The first is the running accuracy of one rotation; the second is the running accuracy of the entire ball screw; the third is the running accuracy of any 300. Generally speaking, the accuracy is the accuracy of any 300.

Ball screw pairs are divided into positioning type (P) and transmission type (T) according to the scope of use. According to the accuracy requirements, there are 7 accuracy levels, namely 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 10. Level 1 has the highest accuracy, and it decreases in sequence.

P5 is the domestic standard, with an accuracy level of 5. The travel variation within any 300mm travel is 0.023mm. This accuracy is generally expressed as P5=0.023. Domestic screws are mostly used.

C7 is the JIS standard, with a precision level of 7. The travel variation within any 300mm travel is 0.050mm, that is, C7=0.050, which is generally used in Japan and Taiwan.
It can be seen that the P5 precision of the ball screw is higher than the C7 precision.

The domestic grade precision is divided into 7 grades: P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P7, and P10. The JIS grade precision is divided into 6 types of precision: C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, and C10. However, Taiwan now also has C2 and C6. These two types of precision, the precision level of P5 is between C5 and C7, which is basically equivalent to the C6=0.025 that appears.

The ball screw is an ideal product for converting rotary motion into linear motion, or converting linear motion into rotary motion. Choose BCNC for ball screws, quality assurance.

Ball screws are the most commonly used transmission components in tool machinery and precision machinery. Their main function is to convert rotational motion into linear motion, or torque into axial repetitive force, while also having the characteristics of high precision, reversibility and high efficiency. Due to their low friction resistance, ball screws are widely used in various industrial equipment and precision instruments!
