The core principle of oil-free bushings

·Self-lubricating mechanism:

I. Embedded solid lubricant (metal-based):

Material: bronze/iron-based powder metallurgy + graphite/molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂)/PTFE

Principle: Frictional heat is generated when the shaft rotates → lubricant seeps out from the pores of the matrix → a transfer film is formed on the friction surface

Lubricant ratio: usually 5%~30% (affects life and load-bearing capacity)

II. Engineering plastic self-lubricating:

Material: PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), POM (polyoxymethylene), nylon + glass fiber/carbon fiber

Principle:

PTFE molecular chain slippage → ultra-low friction coefficient (0.04~0.1)

Fiber reinforcement → improved compressive strength (up to 200MPa)
